TOURIST FURNISHED APARTMENT
DEFINITION
Considering the article D-324-1 of the tourist code, tourist furnished apartments are houses, apartments or furnished studio apartments exclusively reserved for the tenant, offered for rental purpose to temporary customers who are coming and staying one day, one week or a month, and who do not take up residence.
DECLARATION OF THE FURNISHED APARTMENT
The declaration of a tourist furnished apartment is compulsory.
It has to be completed at the town council where the apartment is located, through the form Cerfa n°14004*01.

CLASSIFICATION : from 1 to 5*
CRITERIA: 112 criteria with the reform instead of 40 before
VALIDITY: 5 years
COST: 100 euros
WAITING TIME: around 1 month
OBLIGATIONS: each current classification must be revised before the 23rd of July 2012
TAX : tax benefits under the micro-enterprise regime.
PROCEDURE
The owner order an inspection visit at an accredited organization (tourist office or UDOSTI Haute-Savoie) indicating the type of classification he wants (number of stars). A CERFA file must be filled.
The classification official write a report which is given to the prefecture in order to take the classification bylaw at the end.
We really advise people to make a preliminary study (autodiagnostic)before the order in order to check that the accomodation could claim the indeed classification.
