THE SOLLICITOR
The sollicitor is a jurist given public authority who prepares genuine, certified contract for his clients. He works privately.
For the preliminary sales agreement, the buyer has priority of choice. If the seller wishes to use his own sollicitor, the two professionals will work together, without incurring supplementary fees for the clients. This practice is called "double minute".
The sollicitor's fees are paid by the purchaser. These fees partly include taxes (mainly property registration) payment of the sollicitor and various fees and formalities.
These fees are often called "transfer charges" and are based upon the nature and the description of the property.
