LAW CARREZ: according to the Carrez Law the measurement defines the private surface area of the lot. It's necessary to take into account the ground surface areas of closed and covered premises, from wall to wall, after deducting floor and wall thicknesses, steps and stairwalls, shaft column, doorways and windows. Surface areas under 1m80 are not included (Law No. 96-1107, 18.12.1996, Decree 97-532 of 23.05.1997)
